New Job...I hope...
So, I just applied for a job at the Mesa Arts Center. The position is Associate Curator and I think this would be an amazing position. The job is comparible to what I do now, but more of the good stuff and less of the bad stuff! I really hope to make it through (at least) the initial review process. I don't love their system because the applicant has to fill out on online application that doesn't have any room for a cover letter. I hate writing cover letters, but the cover letter is the only way to really hit the reviewer over the head and say, "hey, look at me and my qualifications...I'm perfect for this job!"
The HR department will review the applications and pass them on to the curator. I really hope I make it through stage 1, especially since I know the head curator (and used to work with her when I was an intern at Tempe Arts Center). I'll keep you posed.
