Yes, I am still here!

So I was meaning to write after we returned from Nashville (late August) and didn't and then another week passed and then another and another and it, well, seemed like too much time had passed and it wasn't worth writing. I've decided to just skip all the late Aug/Sept stuff and start fresh today! So, here I am...

All is well here. My knitting is progressing. I made a scarf for my sister for her b-day and she loved it so much that she put it on with her pajamas right after she opened it. I took a picture of it and will post as soon as I figure out why our computer is not recognizing the camera. I'm hoping I can just reload the software and voila! the computer will recognize it. I'm slowly, very slowly, plodding away on the blanket. It will get done...sometime...maybe 2007...

The Susan G. Komen run is in 1 1/2 weeks and I'm really looking forward to it. It will be my first 5K so I'm excited and nervous. I started running outside again and the transition from inside at the Y to outside has been extremely difficult. The trainer at the Y said a lot of it could be that it is still 80+ degrees out when I run in the morning. I got up at 7:20 yesterday and it was still really hot out. I'm praying for a cold streak come October 8th!
